Okay so for those of you that don't know, me and Mastermind had a bit of trash talking going back and forth(serato.com). We decided to take it to the turntables and battle it out. We had Garett make it an official battle/contest by offering the winner a crane stand!

I already posted my set for round 1 (Watchwww.youtube.com). We agreed that we are going for 3 rounds and have you guys judge who wins. Now the wait is on Mastermind, I hope he shows!

Thats whats up, most of the gigs that I do are just mixing but the turntablism shit is fun. I still have a lot to learn though

I think you guys might have misunderstood me. I am tired of waiting for Mastermind to put his money where is mouth is. I was thinking that since Mastermind was a NO SHOW, we should open this up to everyone!

Um, he is very active. He spends a lot of time talking smack on everyones threads. Surprised he hasn't popped up on this one yet. He said that he would have his video up last SATURDAY. It is now Tuesday. He should have gotten his gear back.

Besides, he can still enter. I was just hoping we could open it up to guys that actually want to battle instead of talk about it. Fully up to you guys. I really want to give away this Crane. I pulled it from inventory and had to fill out a form and it is sitting on my desk starring at me.

Unfortunately - battles don't work that way around here.. It's hard to get to random people on this forum - to just say lets battle.. This best battles we had around here is when two people were talking shit to each other in a thread or threads... and someone calls the other out or someone instigates the battle between them... The smack talk leading up too - is just as important as the actual battle itself :)
I predict if mastermind doesn't put up a vid - no one else will step up and post one...

But then again I might be wrong, since we never had an offer for a crane stand before - so that maybe a motivating factor for someone else to post up a vid..

EVERYONE BATTLE EVERYBODY.....

Just submit a vid, if you happen to call SOMEONE OUT PERSONALLY, so be it....

But, best VID wins, overall whatevers...

Y'all just need to submit a timeline of when stuff is due, as if EVERYBODY is participating, then others will get to preview the vids, which isn't really fair across a bunch of people, UNLESS YOU'RE JUST COCKY LIKE THAT (CON-STRUC) :-D,

or

we go back to the whack way of posting Password protected vids until the Due Date...

I say, give him until the weekend...

Assuming he has his equipment REALLY set up at the club, eventually took it home, but didn't have time to submit a vid...I mean, life happens....

BUT after a WEEK, barring dude being in the hospital, *ish being stolen, or a fire or something, he SHOULD have one ready to put up...

Just my .02.

I say all this because there was some kid on here who was talkin' smack to me, and we were set up to battle, but it didn't pop off because of conflicting work hours, and we BOTH were honestly trying to set it up behind the scenes in PM, and it STILL didn't pan out..

So, again, ANYTHING can happen...

What the hell, if this was ten years ago we would of had tons of dudes trying to battle. Where the hell did all the turntablists go???? Is it all non headphone wearing electro spinning douchebags djs now? I just cant imagine thats what its all become. At the 221 mark you did some ridiculous shit. great set. Why not record it digitally though? I ate hearing the clicks from faders and tech start buttons. Would sound so clean if you recorded from an output

I'm not very experienced with recording video. This was just something that I did quick with my phone. Is there a way to record digitally with the iphone 4?

I'm really dumb when It comes to that stuff, I don't even know what software to use or how to sync the sound with the video. I'm gonna have to do some research. lol

This is what I like to call, game recognize game. We both agree to not even hint towards beefing it or battling just because there's no animosity between us. Both have acknowledged respect for each others talent. Even if we did do a battle, it would be like a "yo mama" punch lines type of battle, pure fun n games haha.

The battle everyone else is seeking is the pound for pound/knock out punch between Mastermind and Con-Struc. & since Mastermind bowed out and conceded, I figured to turn this thread into a "hey here's my rountine, check it out and enjoy it".

Too many times do DJ's egos get in the way of the real reason we all spin. BECAUSE WE LOVE TO DO IT. Hatred and shit talking gets you no where fast, especially if you display ZERO talent or effort to improve yourself or to improve the DJ community.
