XDJ-1000 MK2 HID Support

Can Serato DJ add support for the XDJ-1000 MK2? Pioneer DJ keeps telling me to contact Serato DJ about support and vice versa. So I am formally requesting this feature here.

I've used Serato for years and have gladly spent tons of money to stay serato (SL1, SL2, DNS-3700s). I bought the Club kit for my DJM-900nxs to be able to use DVS with my Tech-1200s. I have CDJ-2000s which have HID support and recently added XDJ-1000 MK2 to my collection of equipment but they are not supported for whatever reason.

I haven't switch over Rekordbox DJ because I love Serato but all my equipment is compatible with Rekordbox so it would make sense to switch if this feature isn't added.

I am not the only one that thinks this and I am sure people are ready to jump ship if support isn't added.

I feel your pain and I'm in the same boat. Been a faithful Serato user since Serato Scratch days...I have the DDJ-SX2, DJM-900nxs, DJM-900nxs2, 2 x XDJ-1000 MK2's, 2 x Technics SL-1200 MK5's, 2 x CDJ-850's and have purchased the club kit, Serato FX packs, Serato Video Add on and the list goes on....All I want is Serato HID support for the XDJ MK2's!!!! Come on Serato, don't make us all jump ship to Rekordbox.

+1 on this. Seriously considering moving to Rekordbox with lack of decent hardware support for Serato, 750MK2 as well. Seeing as Pioneer gear is standard club set up now Serato are shooting themselves in the foot by not sorting this with Pioneer.

Why am I clueless? I didn’t make a threat. I have every right consider changing to Rekordbox if the hardware I want to use isn’t supported. I’ve used Serato for the past 10 years, I would prefer to stay with it, it’s been great.

I have a Rane 62 but want a 4 channel setup with XDJs to go with my technics. All the places I DJ at have a Pioneer setup. Of course I could consider the 43c or Reloop for the mixer but my preference is the 750mk2 after testing them out.

Incredible this thing of Serato with these XDj! Someone said that usb stick system and recordbox is enough! joke! i am Serato users for SL1 and for a creative set in the club i need this HID of Serato Dj with these Xdj that are cheaper and good to practice in your home.

Please Serato team, Add your config for Xdj 1000 mk2

+1, i don't even own a xdj but I'll support you guys. Serato should support as much hardware as possible imo, there is no point in having users switch.

I myself am already using rekordbox in a club setting from time to time without issues (rekordbuddy be praised) because serato doesn't support some devices. I'd rather use serato though.

I wouldn't say never, but it does seem unlikely in the near future. They want more feedback for it I guess. I'm not sure what would be keeping them though except for R&D time and money spent. Much of the tech of an XDJ MK1 should be the same as XDJ MK2 unless Pioneer just decided to change everything on this model which wouldn't make sense.

It's obvious that there is plenty of need and want for this since they came out 2 years ago.

WHen are we gonna see this. CDJ1000 MK2's are starting to become the standard unit at lower budget events. You have HID on the XDJ1000 MK1 and the CDJ 2000 NXS. Why is the xdj1000 MK2 any differet?

When will XDJ-1000MK2 get serato support? Been using serato for a very long time and I was given a pair of those decks as a gift and Im very upset that I cant use serato on it. Please fix it Serato

The 750MK2 is not club standard, but it the closest that the average user can get to club standard. $2100 is not affordable for everyone to get a NXS2 mixer. XDJ1000 MK2 also is not club standard. It is entry level alternative. Welcome to the XDJ1000 MK2 thread.

Same story, different company... NI ist releasing Traktor 3 tomorrow and there is no HID Support for the XDJ1000MK2 so far. And, just like in this forum, there is also this frustrating silence by official side.

Fortunately, I own RB, Serato DJ and Traktor, so I am able to compare the development of all big 3. And I am still wondering why 2 of the 3 are having problems integrating this feature requested by many users in plenty of forums. I think for XDJ1000MK2 users, only possibility to make this happen at that moment is the XDJ in timecode mode with Timecode Signal on usb for Serato und Traktor. Hopefully, we will see this feature included into both plattforms, many users have been changing to RB so far.

I was able to find a MK1 XDJ-1000 just so I can have HID support, but these are getting harder and harder to find.

+100000000000 would love to pay for a feature release extension or whatever to utilize my xdj 1000 mk2s with serato dj. I absolutely hate playing rekordbox dvs on these devices and the 2000nxs. Serato DJ please get me back to using your software for DJing gigs and studio time. Rekordbox suuuuuuucks.

This really needs to happen already...It's now going on 2020. This is a great setup with the djm s9 and if we could get full support of these players including showing the waveform on the player like it does on Rekordbox this would be dope for the dj. Make this happen please

*10000 at this point really. :-p A couple months ago, we had a DJ show up thinking he would be able to use the MK2's with Serato. He had the MK1's at home. You'd think this would be a no brainer by now. We already know that the firmware running onboard is no different than the 2000NXS2's.

Hello, me and several DJs bought the djm 900 nexus2 and 2 xdj 1000mk2. With serato pro and the dj kit club to make them work with the djm 900 nexus2 but in time code. Me and several DJs would like to have the XDJ 1000 mk2 from pionneer connect in hid to see the titles of the tounes in the xdj 1000 mk2 so that serato can take care of the XDJ 1000 mk2 which would be enormously much more useful for us the club dj Thank you

I am assuming, at this point, that Serato refuses to open up its software to devices which do not carry some sort of licensing. The company's scheme is to make money both from the consumer and from hardware manufacturers at the same time. Making money from just one must not be enough to keep the company afloat?
