NAMM 2017 Day Two

Day two:

Starting off the day at the InMusic booth we got a chance to see the new Denon Prime Series (http://www.denondj.com/prime-series) . The VL12 turntable was really fresh with a great build quality, feel and adjustable light that surrounds the platter (a very nice touch). The SC5000 CD Player was again great build and feels amazing to cut on. The platter has a lovely smooth feel and weight to it, making it ideal for those that like to cut and scratch. Last but not least the X1800 Mixer had a great clear sound and clean layout too. Should be a lot of fun to play on these if you find them in the club or on display somewhere.

Over at the Roland both 3 Style USA champ did his incredible routine ( https://news.djcity.com/watch-trayze-perform-with-rolands-dj-808-controller/ ) on the DJ808 live for the NAMM audience.

Lots of Scratching going down at the Mixars booth again, with performances all day long. The Quattro and Primo looking lovely behind the glass. It will be exciting to see how it performs once it gets a proper release. https://serato.com/latest/blog/20201/introducing-the-mixars-primo-and-quattro-forthcoming-in-serato-dj

The Legendary Grandmaster DXT, Jazzy Jay, Keith Shocklee (Bombsquad) and Breakbeat Lou were in attendance and it was great to see them checking out all the new goodies and walk the floor.

Shout out to DJ Revolution, Mike Relm, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, DJ Eko and Expo, for coming through to say hi!

It should be exciting to see who is set to perform at the Pioneer booth today for Day 3! I’ve heard it might be invisibl? ;)
