In the perpetually fickle music business, artists can blow up and fizzle out in the same breath. But producers like Dahi stick around. In the last five years, his come-up has been meteoric. Turning out triumphs like “Money Trees”, “Worst Behaviour” and “I Don’t Fuck With You”, to a third of Kendrick’s much-lauded Damn. Dahi's rare talent for producing both mainstream and underground anthems has cemented his place as a crucial player in hip hop.
Dacoury Natche breezed into our consciousness from the West Coast back in 2012, with Dom Kennedy’s woozy hit “My Type of Party”. Since then he’s worked with everyone from Dr Dre, Travi$ Scott and Drake, to Madonna, Lily Allen and Banks. Dahi isn't fussed if it makes sense on paper, he just cares if it sounds good.
We recently showed Dahi Serato Sample and he happened to love it. Check out some of the beats he whipped up in his Rhythm Roulette appearance below.
