Rane Seventy-Two & Twelve Support

The hugely anticipated Rane Seventy-Two and Twelve have landed! We're excited to let you know that both units are now fully supported in Serato DJ Pro 2.0.2 and available in-stores now.

The Seventy-Two and Twelve are both first of their kind. The Seventy-Two is the first fully featured 2-channel performance mixer to incorporate a Serato DJ Pro interactive touchscreen. The highly talked about Twelve took the internet by storm, a 12" motorized turntable platter that can be used as a MIDI controller with Serato DJ Pro WITHOUT a tonearm. Yes, that means no needles or vibration problems.

Read below to get yourself across the new innovative, game-changing products from our friends Rane. Watch Skratch Bastid rip through a turntablism heavy routine on the new Rane kit and find a detailed breakdown + images of the gear HERE.

The Rane SEVENTY-TWO is a premium 2-channel mixer built for the professional club and scratch DJ. It includes a 4.3-inch touchscreen to display Serato’s waveforms and control your library and FX.

  • 4.3-inch color touchscreen to display Serato’s waveforms and control your library and FX
  • Adjustable MAG THREE cross and up faders
  • Dual FLEX FX engines, one for each channel
  • Dual die-cast aluminum FX paddles
  • 16 RGB performance pads to control Serato DJ Pro pad modes
  • Dual USB ports
  • Assignable USB controller inputs for the Rane TWELVE motorized battle controller

The Rane Seventy-Two also ships with a free license for Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ in the box.

The Rane TWELVE replicates the look and feel of a turntable with 12-inch motorized platters, but eliminates the need for needles and tonearms. It also adds a multi-function touch strip for track searching and setting or triggering hot cues.

  • 12-inch motorized control turntable with real vinyl platter
  • Multi-function touch strip for needle dropping, track searching and Hot Cue controls
  • Each TWELVE has four separate layers of deck control
  • MIDI interface via USB that can be connected to the SEVENTY-TWO or your computer
  • 5.0kfcmhigh-torque motor with adjustable high/low option
  • 8/16/50% adjustable pitch slider

I have the Pioneer S9. I just ordered 2 Rane Twelve that will be delivered Thursday 5th,. Just wanted to know what or how I would connect the Rane Twelve to my Pioneer S9. I have a MacBook Pro 10.3 version. Running 1.9.6. Mac only has 2 USB, one will be used by Mixer so I would think I may need a USB extender? Please help.
Thank you,

USB from 12s into MacBook running software in internal mode.

You’ll need 3 USB ports. A hub will run the decks fine but it’s recommended to run the mixer into a USB port on laptop not hub.

You could also investigate a thunderbolt to usb lead/converter?? But hub will do it. Rane X has a hub built into it.
