How To: I Love QC Visual Content

Here's a quick step-by-step guide on how to add live visuals to your Serato DJ set using the brand new I Love QC audio reactive quartz compositions. Free to download and supported in the latest Serato Video update.

It's pretty basic, so we'll try keep it short and sweet.

Here's what you need to get going:

1. Supported Serato DJ Hardware

2. A license for Serato Video.

3. The latest version of Serato DJ, which includes Serato Video that supports the new audio reactive content from I Love QC.

NOTE: Quartz Compositions are Mac only.

Step-By-Step Walkthrough

DOWNLOAD THE FREE PROMO CONTENT

Head to the I LOVE QC Promo Content Page on Serato.com, click the download button and the I Love QC composition files will automatically begin downloading.

ENABLE SERATO VIDEO

Open the SETUP screen in Serato DJ, click the EXPANSION PACK tab and then tick the 'Enable Serato Video' check box. Once Serato Video is enabled you can load media files to the 'Media Crate' in Serato DJ.

LOADING .QTZ FILES TO SERATO DJ

The I Love QC files are 'Quartz Compositions' (.qtz files) that will react with the audio in your DJ performance.

Loading the files is easy and can be imported the same as any other file, just drag and drop like an audio track to a crate.

First start by opening the Serato Video panel in the top left of Serato DJ.

Grab the 5 I Love QC .qtz files from the folder you saved them to and drag the files to your Media Crate*, or to a crate of your choice.*We recommend loading to the Media Crate that already exists in the Serato DJ library.

USING .QTZ FILES WITH SERATO VIDEO

.qtz files are super easy to use, just the same as any standard video file.

Simply load a .qtz file to any available video window.

Load an audio track on the virtual deck, hit play and watch as the I Love QC content reacts with your audio.

THAT'S IT!

You've now added a new dynamic element to your set with live visuals that will stay synced to your DJ performance.
