I'm Just saying I would like not having to take my mixer and turntables with me to small
events. I would much rather take my controller, but whitelabel tracks are not supported by Serato DJ Intro so I end up having to take everything with me. I don't think that makes much sense. So Please release an update or something that will allow Whitelabel tracks to be played. It would make so many of us happy.

Unfortunately , you purchased the wrong controller. Sell it an buy an Itch controller.

That's most likely what I am going to do. But it still doesn't make sense its still serato at the of the day so it should support whitelabel tracks.

read this, it pretty much explains everything.....

As I understand it, Whitelabel is a promotional tool for record labels to get their material into the hands of pro DJs. As Intro is aimed at beginners, there's no point in offering Whitelabel to them. Beginners won't be playing to hundreds or thousands of people each weeks.
makes sense ?

Some What. But as a promotional tool wouldn't you want to offer those tracks as incentive to draw beginner DJs towards the serato line of DJing software and anyway aren't they going to play their mixes for others maybe at a barbecue, birthday party , etc... It may not be thousands more so hundreds. I know when I started I was doing school parties, birthday parties, mostly private parties and attendance was usually in the 150 range. Even at the smallest level promotion is still promotion. From the prospective of business I feel like they are losing by totally excluding the beginner DJ's from the record pool. For some starters it could be a deal breaker. Think about it. Today's beginner is tomorrow's pro. And as they get better they will naturally upgrade from intro to itch or scratchlive.

The music labels don't give a shit about 'drawing beginner DJs towards the Serato line of software'. For the reasons outlined clearly above.
It's not up to Serato, it's up to the labels. And makes total sense.

Curious as up what promo music comes with other beginner DJ software? None.
If you mean that not getting free music might prevent them getting into DJing. Good. Enough idiots like that wanting to be DJs already.

You are absolutely right about idiots wanting to be DJ's these days. But when I say deal breaker I mean that it what would separate serato from the competition as far as offering something that other beginner DJ software doesn't. I'm just saying it Could be the difference in making a choice between serato and other software. And in business you always want to have an edge. And availability of the whitelabel tracks would be the edge in this case.

Email Fool's Gold Records, say that you're a beginner DJ and you play a few parties.
See if they will add you to their DJ promo list.
They will not.
It's not Serato's music to give away.

Guess I am going to get a vestax w/ itch controller. Cause I definitely don't want to bring my heavy a$$ anvils to my smaller venues and events. The larger events usually have everything there for me when I get there all I bring is my laptop, needles, control records and my SL interface just in case. I would just like to make everything a bit more efficient that's all.
