1.7 is wack.
Freezes and locks up.

Yes, I deleted my serato folder and re-analyzed some files after the upgrade.

I have a Macbook Pro 7 Intel 4 GB Ram.
I also disabled the automatic graphic card, sleep and screen saver and it still happened again..

These are console messages I received before the hard reset:

Hello, I would recommend uninstalling using a program like APPZapper or App Delete and reinstalling.
DJ Kaba 2:25 PM - 20 September, 2010

DJ Kaba 7:13 AM - 24 September, 2010

DJ Kaba 5:06 AM - 27 September, 2010

It sounds like your running in 64 bit mode?
Please ensure you are running V7 driver 2.0.2
Can you confirm if your plugging in to the laptop directly or via a hub.
DJ Kaba 12:14 AM - 28 September, 2010
How can I see which mode itch is being run on?
And the driver version of V7?
Numark, Support
sbangs 5:27 PM - 28 September, 2010
You can tell if your OS is running in 64 bit mode.

osxdaily.com

The driver version will be shown on the V7 driver app which is located in applications.
DJ Kaba 10:34 AM - 29 September, 2010
I'll take a look at my ns n v7 drivers. Thx

About the mode, I have an i7. Had it since may n itch didn't crash n burny till 1.7
DJ Kaba 10:43 AM - 29 September, 2010
Also the 64 bit shouldn't matter. I was told by several Apple reps. that the OS runs application that are in 64 bit in 64 bit. If the application is not in 64 bit, it will revert to the 32 bit mode.

Is there a way I can see if the application is RUNNING in 64 bit while its running?
DJ Kaba 11:44 AM - 29 September, 2010
Itch starts in normal 32 bit. I just checked, it does not run in 64 bit mode.

Thats true, but you need the 2.0.2 driver for best performance on the i7 systems.
You should also follow this tip www.serato.com
DJ Kaba 11:54 AM - 29 September, 2010
Yep, right now I have the 2.0.2 installed. I have only had just one crash on 1.5 since I reverted back from 1.7. Will see if it crashes on friday or saturday.
DJ Kaba 7:19 PM - 30 September, 2010
It still crashes in 1.5
DJ Kaba 8:09 PM - 2 October, 2010
I deleted everything including Scratch live and reinstalled 1.7 like brand new.
Had a gig last night and no crash, having another gig tonight and will really see if it improved.
*note: I now keep my window maximized at all times since my errors kept saying: Unable to lock window.

I will keep you guys posted after 4 hour gig tonight.

Just a quick follow up to see everything is still working, if not happy to help.
DJ Kaba 9:39 PM - 31 October, 2010
This issue restarted again and I had to reinstall everything once more.

It appears that when you close itch in the window mode, these errors always come up back to back.

I also looked at this topic:
serato.com

Rosetta on the mac is NOT Rosetta Stone.
This is Rosetta: www.apple.com
IF you recall the transfer from PowerPC to Intels.

Anyway Rosetta is NOT installed on my mac. I ran /usr/libexec/oah/RosettaNonGrata and it told me it is not installed but it is available as an optional install on my Mac OS X CD...and when I DID install it, /usr/libexec/oah/Translate showed up.

/usr/libexec/oah/RosettaNonGrata is a file to disable Rosetta.

btw I also Reinstalled Mac OS X, Transelate is not installed.
