Still trying to get the ipad detected by scratch live, I have updated the driver which was in this path:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.

Help with this is provided here.

I now have the 'Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" listed in my 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers'

still can't see the ipad remote within scratch lives plugins though
