Serato DJ Pro 2.1.1 is out now and brings with it great news for Official Serato Accessory users. Two new features come in independent pad modes and OSA remapping. There is also OSA support for the new Reloop RP-8000 MK2 and four Roland drum machines.
Independent pad modes
If you are using an Official Serato Accessory with your Serato DJ Pro primary hardware, you can now use different pad modes on each device. This opens up a raft of new combinations for your DJing, allowing you to manipulate your music like never before.
Use combinations like Sampler and Hot Cues, Hot Cues and Pitch Play, Slicer and Sampler, or any others that you can think of together on the same deck. Give your DJing the edge you have been looking for.
OSA remapping
Official Serato Accessories with MIDI functionality can now be remapped to change what Serato DJ Pro functionality they control. Create custom mappings, or remap parts of your controller for quick access to features you use regularly.
Reloop RP-8000 MK2
The Reloop RP-8000 MK2 turntable is now supported in Serato DJ Pro 2.1.1 as an Official Serato Accessory.
It builds on its predecessor by adding advanced pad modes, a digital LC display which shows track information such as pitch, BPM, deck and time, a high resolution digital fader, the ability to browse and load tracks from the turntable using the multi encoder and much more.
As well as this it comes with Platter Play mode, a new hardware option for tone play. Platter Play allows you to control the turntables pitch via the performance pads, turning it into a legitimate musical instrument. Multiple scales and notes are at your disposal and there is an option to create your own. The two speed select buttons can also be used for pitch bending.
Roland TR-8, TR-8S, TR-08 and TR-09 support
OSA hardware support for the TR-8, TR-8S, TR-08 and TR-09 is available now in Serato DJ Pro 2.1.1.
This Serato x Roland TR-SYNC update brings the power of Roland’s iconic drum machines to your DJ setup. Simply connect your Roland TR drum machine to Serato DJ Pro and they’ll sync to the same BPM. Now you can easily add your own drum loops with the same drum sounds used on your favorite music. Flip genres, beef up classic tracks, and remix and transition between songs in new ways.
