So I think this maybe the first ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ South African DJ featured on Serato.
Very poor feature from Serato, South Africa have really good scratch DJs and DJs, I strongly Belive Kenzhero is just very average, played a few times before & after gigs and nothing amazing.
I hope Serato can do a better feature on show South African talent

How many Djs top ones that will know here in SA that really matches international standard in terms of the real dj culture. All the well known Djs e.g. black coffee we only see him doing play/cue and some delays effect have you ever saw him spinning on the turntable scratching doing some cuts....etc I hope not, Serato will only recognise the likes of Dj Jazzy Jeff if we have one like him atleast close to what he's doing in SA which is DJ Waxxy...

I have to disagree. We have a Real DJ Culture here in ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ. Unfortunately here in SA we donโ€™t have a platform for these DJs. There are a lot.
Waxxy used to be good, not sure what happened to him, he never improved.
We have having the Redbull Threestyle on the 8th of dec Iโ€™m jhb. Youโ€™ll see the real DJs ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

I'm yet to find one bro, I will look for the venue for the redbull 3 style competition, hope I won't be seeing some cdjs on the platform and the likes of black coffee, oskido and fresh as judge....Lol I play on turntables i wanna get the culture going, my setup cost about R25,000 with how they pay djs here in SA not everyone will be able to afford it that's another concernWhich relationship are you into now, because I saw you status the first day you sent me a friend request.. on Waxxy case the minute he started playing on cdjs I give up on him....lol

from here i understand that real culture for you start with turntables and stop with turntables.
if it is the case you don't need Serato DJ.

As far as i'm concern there is more than only scratching, cdj and others tools help you play with hot Cue, loops, tone play , drum machine etc... all those should be used to create and enjoyable music experience that is what redbull promote with 3style.

You will find very good dj in SA but the problem is that promoters will book a tv or radio show host to play at a major club or event. Good dj need your support to keep the culture alive but IMO culture is not only when you see Turntables.

I checked the names of the djs, they're not south Africans or from south Africa, that still prove my point very right.
