Want to add a collection of visual clips to your set without thinking about it too much? The Media Crate for Serato Video is perfect!
If you're a Mac user, this is also a great way to make use of the new "I Love QC" Quartz compositions - available as a free download on Serato.com.
Note: if you are using macOS 10.13 High Sierra, please read about Quartz incompatibility here.
The Media Crate will show up in the Crates area to the left of your screen if you have Serato Video activated.
When the Media Crate is activated in Serato Video, media files you have placed in the Media Crate will be automatically loaded to the video decks if the track playing has no associated video content.
Activating the Media Crate is easy. Just click ON.
Once the Media Crate is active, load a track and start DJing. You should automatically see one of the files in your Media Crate being played alongside your track.
You can choose whether this file is chosen at random or sequentially by choosing either "Random" or "Next".
This can be used very simply to load random visuals in the background for your sets. It can also be used to set up sequences of visual clips using the "Next" feature.
Either way, have fun with it, and don't hesitate to hit us up if you have any questions or need help :)
