Hi ral ,

What is your computer specs? Processor? Ram? Etc? Did you try raising your usb buffer? Let me know. Thanks.

set the usb buffer in the middle
use only 2 tracks

just got done with the first dance (wedding reception)
played the 1st everbody should dance now tune (mp3 file, not corrupt)
mixing the 2nd tune, in the middle of transition (mp4 file, not corrupt)

For those specs you want the usb buffer all the way to the right (highest number) controllers are alot more taxing than rane sound cards.

Also make sure wireless and bluetooth are off.

Do a disk permisions repair.

Download and install smc fan controll amd run the fans on full when djing.

Then see how you get on.

thx - whats your laptop specs lj woolsey?
LJ_WOOLSEY 3:07 PM - 13 May, 2013
Macbook pro 15 late 2008
2.8ghz core 2 duo
6gb ram
750gb Hybrid 7200rpm hard drive
Osx snow leopard 10.6.8

Usb lower than 512 does start to give the odd USB Dropout.

im in a panic mode, and here's what i did

played a track in spotify, line in cable to vci 400
run in the car to get rane 62
close serato dj
plugged the rane 62 usb, power, xlr, etc
open scratch live
unplugged the vci400

played INT mode just using the 62 as controller - everything was golden
