Have tried searching the forums and the web for a definitive answer on this one but no luck as yet :(
Love the look of the VCI-300 and Itch and am keen to pick up a unit, however can anyone let me know if the unit allows you to assign the knobs on the VCI-300 to support basic Ableton midi functions (3 way EQ/Cross Fader/A&B Chanel assignment)?
Am looking at a midi controller to work with Ableton [will not be using it for 'larger' productions, just simple DJ mixes etc] and this unit could kill two birds with one stone as would allow me to use Serato as well, instead of just getting a dedicated midi controller just for Ableton a'la the VCI-100 (which I'd prefer not to do!).
Any help would be much appreciated - seen the demos and reviews and am sold...Ableton compatability would have me out the door tomorrow to pick up a unit!
Cheers,
K

Does anyone have any comments, or at least a pointer in the right direction on this?

Cheers Nick,
But for relativley straight forward question...
"Will most of the VCI-300 knobs & faders be midi assignable and able to work to work with Ableton as well as Itch?"
...there seems to be no one with even a hint of an answer which often spells bad news!
The only reason I'm persisting is that I really need a decent piece of kit for Ableton mix Radio mixshows which I do and the VCI-300 would be spot if it works as you would think it should in this day and age with many mixers going midi?
Fingers crossed :)

Sorry, that was rude of me, moving your thread and I forgot to answer :(
Short answer is yes, most of the VCI 300 is midi assignable and works nicely with Ableton Live. :)

Top work Nick, most appreciated...that's it sold, I'm off to try and source a unit - reviews to follow in the coming weeks.
Will see how it stands up at my residency (www.alphaclub.ae) and from a home standpoint doing studio stuff with Ableton etc...do not use Ableton for DJing out...yuck!
