hi,

Is it possible to use mic input to insert additional sampler or drum machine. so then we can insert some additional effects to the mix.

The Mic input on the hardware interface is for mic level sources (eg. -30dBu to -60dBu). You will get a very distorted signal if you plug in a balanced line level device (+4dbu) into the mic input.

Unless yo uattenuate the signal with two resistors :-)
But is's only mono and you can't play it directly but have to load it to a deck first to hear it.

thxj, if you can adjust the output level on the sampler or drum machine, you should be OK. You'll need a jack to jack cable to pass the signal thru from the Scratch LIVE interface to the mic input of your DJ mixer, and turn down the mic record level. You can then play your samples live into the mix, and also record them into Scratch LIVE so that you can drop them in using the turntables (or CD players).
I've tried this with an mpc sampler/sequencer - you can drum beats in live, and record them into Scratch LIVE at the same time. Then play the beat you just made back to back on the decks over other rhythm samples coming from the mpc. Hours of fun.

Great.:) thanks. I will check that and see. Hope it won't distort any sound.
