ITCH Interface

DJ dVO 11:49 PM - 21 May, 2008
Is it me or the ITCH interface is mediocre when compared to SSL? I know this is a hardware-driven but still with all the space on the screen, displaying information as "visual" would be very helpful I think.

Is there an option to display the wavelength ontop instead at the bottom?

Thoughts?

I like how it is very simple interface, but I have never used dj software before and was wondering what function does the small waveform in the middle of the time relapse clocks provide that the other waveform doesn't???
Darcy 6:38 AM - 24 May, 2008
oh yea...I was wondering where it displays the time remaining?, I would think it would have this feature but it looks like is does not!!!

this is a beat matching display that shows the overall tempo matching of the two tracks.

you probably have to click on the time to show time remaining. thats how other programs like quicktime player work.

the two middle wavelengths are tempo and beat wavelengths. ITCH can automatically TEMPO match but you still have to beat match, which I think is great.

DJ3pm: if I am not mistaken, the time on the Track Info is remaining time count. It would be useless if one needs to click on the time to see the remaining.....
Darcy 9:16 AM - 4 June, 2008
^^^It defeats the whole purpose of Itch if you had to click to see the remaining time, and I don't see where it could be, maybe you just look at the wave forms, but I always liked knowing the exact second where to start and stop my mixes, and I always found the remaining time very helpful!!!

Mid June happened on schedule - I am pleased to say :)

The VCI-300 commenced shipping in small numbers in Japan earlier this month. I understand the US and other countries will start receiving units in September.

If you are at Remix Hotel NYC this weekend, you will be able to get hands on Serato ITCH 1.0.3 with the VCI-300 at the Vestax booth.

Cant wait until I get my hands on it!

hello, I'm a french DJ and my english is not perfect, but I'll try to tell you my problem.

I see the ITCH interface and there is only ELAPSE time for the playing track, why not REMAIN Time ??? It's more important for me, no ?

Is it possible to do this with a Update...?

thanks

Click the time and it will change.

It should really show both. ITCH should not give up any of the features already in SSL, but should only add more features.
DeezNotes 9:47 AM - 23 July, 2008
Although the programs have their similarities, they are different in a few ways. I wouldn't expect them to share all features due to their differences. Just my .02

We all are in agreement that ITCH should not display the same interface as SSL but there are standard features that I believe it should be made the same.
DJ 2ni 6:38 AM - 30 July, 2008
Hello

Just a new question:

Are the abbreviated keyboars the same with Scratch live.?
Thanks

Pene 7:00 AM - 30 July, 2008
Hi DJ 2ni,
The relevant keyboard shortcuts are the the same in Scratch LIVE and ITCH.
I think that's what you're asking :)
DJ 2ni 7:14 AM - 30 July, 2008
Yes that's what I'm asking. (excuse me for my english,I'm a french DJ).

So if the VCI300 make a bug, I can play Itch with the keyboard shortcuts of the computer.?
DeezNotes 1:19 PM - 30 July, 2008
Yes.
nik39 3:38 PM - 30 July, 2008
Sure, Deez?
