Dealing with a 3-deck setup

Since SSL only supports 2 decks, one way I can think of is to have 3 deck bays within the program. The way you'd control them would be one would always be in internal mode (or just in standby) and between those 3 decks, on the 3rd deck, if you're in internal mode, using the abs/rel buttons you can take control of the deck. basically it would act as an intermediary deck, but its sound output could be mixed with either the left or right deck.

Yeah, sound ouptut of the 3rd deck could be the normal pc sound output.

that's not a bad idea either. never thought to use the regular built-in sound card.

even if there wasn't any sound output on the 3rd deck, one more deck could be useful as, like i said, an intermediary or launcher pad. DJs who use scratch records in their sets could always keep that record loaded on the intermediary deck, cued up to where it needs to be. then by hitting, say option/alt-left or right arrow (shift-arrows load to the main decks of course) the track would swap out with the one playing. basically this would allow you to cue up tracks in advance or have one ready to drop.

between this "launcher pad" and the cmd-z undo load shortcut (you could use this for going back and forth between tracks) i'd imagine you could do some seriously crazy stuff.
