it did work that way, but then i couldnt engage any effects by b1 or b2. they wouldnt light up.

Are the effects panels greyed out? (like the fullscreen button). If so then unfortunately your graphics card doesn't support effects :-/. If not and you can select different effects (using P1 and P2) but they don't do anything, then that is a problem...

knobs, joysticks, and buttons are white. my effects worked with the fader on regular so they have to work.

Hmm.. sounds like something weird is going on. Can you post a screenshot and if possible some details about your graphics card (www.scratchlive.net)?

Same thing here ... when reversing the crossfader, It wont reverse the Video. What is Group 5? Just got my 57 today.

Ok, can't see anything wrong in those screenshots so it is a little hard to know what is going wrong.

Are you saying that when you click the P1 and P2 knobs nothing at all happens?. The B1 and B6 buttons bypass the effects but that only does something after effects have been selected.

all i know is that when im NOT using video i like my echo effect to end mixes. before all i had to do to echo the right turntable was select b2, then hit b6 to engage the echo. or for the left turntable... light up the b1 then b6 again to engage the effect. i do not have that with video anymore.

Ah, I see. Sorry, thought you were talking about the video effects and not the built in 57 audio effects.

If you are looking at the hardware panel (the button beside 'video') what group are you in?

There are 6 groups and the only one effected by using video should be the record group (which becomes video specific). The fx group should still work as normal and if it doesn't then it is a problem.
