Getting unusual pitch performance with using cds and control vinyl which were shipped to me warped as I tried them on a friends set up. My control vinyls both have a 3 cent pitch fluctuation per rotation while his control vinyls were rock steady.

Under what circumstances did you receive this system log error?

Did Shaun sort you out with new control vinyl?

Do you have the same fluctuation with control CDs?

I found the errors in: About this mac > More info > Logs System.log

I discovered these after trying to trouble shoot the pitch drifting issues as discussed here serato.com

The control cd is pretty much solid, except when the pitch drifts as the wave form judders as also mentioned in the thread link above.

I have send Shaun my address but haven't had any more info back yet.

Did you receive this error message when doing something in Scratch Live?

Are you still using the damaged control vinyl?

Are you able to make a video showing this issue? I don't know if I am fully understanding the issue described in the other thread.

Im sorry, but I have no idea why these messages are appearing, are they causing any issues for you? I will continue to do further investigation into why they might be appearing.

When you say you have pitch drifting because of the waveform shuddering when using control CDs, does the BPM actually change slight and drift out of a mix?

Are you able to make a video of this happening?

Hi, I can't remember if the BPM changed although I don't think it did. I will check this again when I receive the replacement CV.

I also have Logic pro 9 and Pro Tools 10 installed if that could help with the error messages.

So do the error messages cause any issues for you? Its hard for me to determine whats going on when there isn't really any context for the messages.
Ok here is something to try though:

1.Exit Scratch Live
2.Open your Macintosh HD
3.Open the Library folder
4.Open the Audio folder
5.Open the MIDI Drivers folder
6.Take all the files within the MIDI Drivers folder and move them to your desktop (make sure the MIDI folder is empty)

Im not sure if there is any relation between these drivers and the error messages you are getting but I have heard of Pro Tools drivers causing issues with Scratch Live before.

Let me know what happens when you get the replacement CV.
