I need to buy a controller asap and think the vci-400 looks great. I usually use SSL, so I don“t want to switch to ex. Traktor.
But to me it seems like DJ Intro that comes with the VCI-400 limits the actual controller, right?
So my questions are;
is it possible for serato to upgrade the intro software, so you can use 4 decks and all the custom features?
Will they be able to make Itch compatible with the vci-400?
thanks

No and no.
The 400 is a great Traktor controller.
It will never be an advanced Serato controller. Vestax would need to bring out a new controller altogether which is licenced to Itch.

But is it possible that Serato can/might develop intro further?

It's been discussed a lot, DJ Intro is intended to just be for beginners. There may be improvements but you'll never see 4 decks.
Vestax made a huge error of judgement in speccing Intro for such an expensive controller.
