Im pretty comfortable with DJing and experienced... Im sitting in a hotel on my laptop with no controllers. I wanted to see how some tracks mixed together and check out serato. I've installed the program and started it up and then I start to derp... The program shows the file browser on like 5/6ths of the screen with the no hardware warning blinking and a small track player on the left side, waveform on the right.... iv clicked every button in the program, mashed every button on my keyboard, stared at it hard and long.

I cant figured out how to drop the browser window so I can dj... WHAT DO?

Plug in a controller.

Intro/Itch/Scratch Live software is all free because you need to buy the suitable hardware to run them.

Without the hardware connected you just get the offline mode, which is for analysing files and setting cuepoints etc.

If you are looking for free software to do actual mixing with, Virtual DJ have a free home edition which is free on Mac or Windows.

It's crap though, which is why people pay for Serato hardware or Traktor software.
