Serato DJ Lite / Intro General Discussion

Talk about Serato DJ Lite / Intro software and controllers.

DjIntro needs better mapping for Numark Mixdeck

i own 3 Numark controllers a mixtrack pro, mixdeck and ns7

serato itch mapping for ns7 have no issues, works great
but i find when comes to the numark mixdeck and serato djintro the mapping can better and they are a few flaws and features i wish they would have in djintro for the mixdeck

1. the master volume isn't mapped properly as the volumes rise or lowers by truning the knob the volume indicator in serato on screen doesn't move.
2. why is it that the jog wheel lights are not active in djintro?
the feature is active in virtual dj and i find the feature a very nice feature and would like to see it incorporated in djintro.
3.start/stop time is another feature i would like to see active in djintro for the mixdeck.

in all serato djintro is a nice and welcomed program ... but i would just like to see it mapped and all features for the compatable controllers fully functioning and optimized.

1. Mixer is not MIDI, so it isn't mapped to the software because it can't be.
2. We all want that, but Serato has their hands over their ears on this one.
3. That can at least control the little brake sound you hear when you pause, but once again, hands over ears.

hope I helped.

virtual dj has is why serato lagging with it, it is a great feature and is very good when scratching.

start/stop is also another great feature and it make great when want to transition with music that bpms are far apart.

if serato get there act together and put in these features i sure keep my mixdeck for a long time, cause it really is a nice unit. mucher lighter to move with than ns7.

Yeah I know, and honestly thats why I used it. I dropped the 300 bucks and it was worth it. The only thing that is holding back the Mixdeck from being a badass controller is DJ Intro, and the lack of features that most of the other DJ Intro Controllers have

I wouldn't say anything is holding it back cause you have VDJ, which I use to mix video and Traktor. Both LE versions burn this program up and their free aswell..........you can keep knocking but I don't think Seratos gonna answer.

If you wanted to use more advanced features why would you buy a MixDeck over the NS6?

They're about the same price, but one comes with Itch and the other comes with Intro.

Surely for any advanced user that's a no-brainer?

Well for me I like the cd backup. Sure I can just run an ipod into the NS6 but I don't need all those fancy effects and such. A few loops here and there, a back spin every now and again you know the basics. Besides I'd rather use my tables for more serious stuff. People are always bitching about space but in my area we'll setup a table in the middle of the dance instead of using a controller, lmao!!

thats a good idea because virtual dj gives you more for free. Lets be honest serato doesnt care about djs how only want free software an cant afford to buy serato hardware .Serato is really only interested in people who are willing to upgrade to itch an scratch live.
