Feature Request: Drafts (automatic and manual)

Heyoooo
Just thought it would be a nice feature if "Drafts" were added to threads/posts. Sometimes I'm writing up a reply and my browser crashes or I accidentally close the window, or those pesky bears eat my computer.
Similar to how gmail creates drafts for emails it would be cool if every 30seconds or 1minute a draft was automatically created. Along the same lines a "save draft" feature next to the preview might be handy as well.

Hey Prinvale,
Thanks for the suggestion. Believe it or not, we've thought of doing something to prevent this kind of information in the past
In the mean time, depending on which browser you use (Firefox and Chrome), there is a workaround that will save you some time if you accidentally close the tab - steps are as follows:
* Write really long reply without posting
* Accidentally close the tab, have a panic attack
* Right click on the tab bar, click "Reopen closed tab"
* Breathe a huge sigh of relief - hit the post button
While this won't save you in the browser crash/bear eating scenarios, it's definitely worth knowing - It's saved me plenty of time in the past.

That’s a great feature request! Having an automatic and manual “Drafts” option would be incredibly useful for users who often lose their work due to crashes or accidental closures. Just like Gmail’s auto-save function, saving drafts every 30 seconds or allowing users to manually “Save Draft” beside the preview button would prevent frustration and make posting smoother. It’s similar to how modern platforms, like XXBrits UK xxbrits.uk .
