I might be gettin SSL soon and i have two small questions for you experienced SSL users...

Is SSL friendly for mixing...i was looking through the forums and saw that SSL had a problem with pitch drifting?? But I also saw that Serato are making a update or new records to fix this problem, and if they are when do you guys think itll be out?

I was also wondering how you organize your songs in SSL, are there records cases like there are in FS? or is just one long playlist and you have to find the songs

SSL is for mixing and for scratching! Once the pitch drift issues is fixed, it will be the best DJ vinyl program available right now, from my POV. Keep in mind, the cause of the pitch drift is simply the bad mastering of the control signal records, its NOT a software problem, though it can be eliminated by software to some extent.

You have crates (as many as you like) plus you can have iTunes playlists.

so are they actually working on making these new records taht fix this big problem?

If there is when do you think itll be released, hopefully by october or november because thats when im going to buy SSL probably

Yes, both is on the way, a software work around and new vinyls (hopefully they dont have any noticable wow+flutter+drift).

I am not a part of the dev team, so I cant tell you when it will be available. Someone from SSL team reported Version 1.2 will be available at some time in september, at least its been scheduled for that time. So I guess by november the mentioned problems should all be solved, plus we should have some new features.
