Most likely it will be the controller company making the hardware. so i dont think they will open up itch to 3rd party midi controller for sp6, it have to be pionneer, numark, vestax, denon etc

Hugh O 4:42 AM 20 July 2011 Thanks Jfree, there will in fact be midi assignments for ITCH hardware in the next release soon after 2.0, which will allow you to control the SP6 with your device

Just buy a Crane Stand....problem solved for the time being.

Good solution... Shell out another 200 bucks to fix a problem that shouldn't exist.

You should never "want" inaccessibility to your keyboard. That shit was a gimmick on Pioneer's part, and I'm shocked that you actually fell for it. The 3 friends of mine that have the S1 all use laptop stands.
So Yes, you should shell out the $150 regardless.

.....I mean, how do you "search" for tracks with the keyboard obscured?

Oh I'll run out and get one right now because some fuckwit on the Internet tells me I fell for a gimmick. I never touch the keyboard to search for tracks there's no need. Thats supposed to ve the point of itch. Why don't I just go back ten years in time and get rid of the controller and just use my mouse too.

Right now I'm using Bome's Midi Translator. It works well but the trial version stops working after a certain period of time and you need to start it up again for it to continue to work. I'm looking for a new free translator that works for PC. Hopefully when Itch supports midi you will also be able to map cue points.
