hi,..

This is my story...

I have been using SSL almost 2 month now. with diffrent kind of laptop with diffrent configurations. here are the list,

IBM thinkpad R40 centrino 1.5 GHZ 256RAM 40GB- works gr8
IBM thinkpad R40 pentium 4 1.8 GHZ 256RAM 40 GB- works gr8
Compaq Persario 2564 pentium 2.2 GHZ 256RAM 30GB- works gr8
Hp NX9010 Pentium 3.06 GHZ 512MB 40GB - trouble
IBM thinkpad T21 PIII 800Mhz 512RAM 20GB -pending (tonight)

I've used Hp NX9010 last night and all of sudden after starting the SSL and played two songs , my latop trows blue screen with coredump error. After I reboot and start SSL no sound came but the software is showing mp3 is playing propely. After I remove the SSL box and start agian it works. but agian after two songs its show blue screen with Core dump error. Why is this happening with high end Config of laptop. then I uninstall the SSL and reinstall it. (all of this process done during when I'm playing Vinyl on the other side, - i've by pas the SSL box and drctly fix thes vinly channel to the mixer), after this I used only one SSL channel. other sound channel I played Vinyl.

I've notice that on the task manager CPU usage only 27% is showing. also I notice after uninstalling SSL and re-install the SSL V1.0 tried to start, but system pops a message DLL not found. after update the patches only I able to start the SSL. this means after upgrading we can't use the old version with out upgrades or is there anyother way?

Finally I used one channel on SSL and other channel with Vinyl.

The best part is I still Trust on SSL.

Maybe your Hard drive is almost full or need to defragment it. Dump all trash out, make your computer graphic classic if you're using winxp. there's a suggestion about pc config on this forum, check it that should help you.

I got a problem too, with my ssl last saturday night. I did a gig (pool party), after the system was setup I load some mp3 files up and my ssl won't see it, i know i have the latest software update and i know i have the mp3 files, but what's wrong? anyways, i just decided to reload the latest update and i choose repair it and it fixed it. So I started playing some songs but after a few minutes my computer started to freeze up and the music will stop, it's really embarrassing to those people in the party to see that my shit don't work.

I got...
Toshiba A25-s279
Pentium 4 2.8ghz
1gig of ram
60gb of hardrive
40gb of external hardrive (mp3)

what's wrong SERATO?! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!! what's wrong!!!!

I've done all the things.. to make XP best performance. change to winXP GUI to classic winXP, on system properties advance tab performance settings to best performance setting. disable the network, disable the wireless , disable the virus gurad etc...

but still that night SSL gave me trouble. anyway now I'm happy with thinkpad T21 .. its working fine for me and I'm not going to go for new chipsets and new processors type laptops till the new version upgrade is there.

Are you sure these files are MPEG MP3s and not ACC files. SSL does not read ACC files. This happened to ne last night, i couldnt find a new song I had put in iTunes, so today I checked and I realized it was ACC. Oh well I'll just play it tomorrow, instead.
