I emailed www.djstore.co.uk (where I purchased SSL) this morning to ask if they could supply replacement records and this is the reply I received:

We have asked repeatedly for this - but our request (through the Uk
distrubutors - Sennhesier) seems to be falling on deaf ears. We would
stock them if we could, but at the moment we can't and so I would ask
you to e-mail rane directly, tell them that you own Serato Scratch, but
need to be able to buy the records in the UK and can't at this time.

We are meeting with Ranes product manager next month, and will bring
this up, but in the meantime, the more people who e-mail Rane and ask
for them, the quicker they will realise that there is a market for them.


Can anyone from Serato/Rane in the US please help move this along? I don't want to be left without spare records incase my current ones start to wear out. I don't want to be without SSL!!!!!

Same here in Holland. None of the music stores here carry SSL, I'm ordering it from a german webstore (www.thomann.de), but they don't seem to carry replacement records.

How come all the stores here have FS, but non have SSL? That's just WRONG!

remember, FS is German (or at least european). I'm sure once the new vinyls are out, they'll be all over the place. Sennheiser didn't even have any demo units for my dealer, so my dealer just ended up ordering one and having to pay for it for in shop demos.

ps, why does all music software seem to be made in Germany?

I'm a big fan of German engineering (Porsche, Grohe etc etc) and now it's turning to software (just bought Logic)

Same problem here in France.......need to command SSL replacement vinyl to USA.....a little expensive, 25 $ for one vinyl all included (shipping, tax..)...more than the double of the real price (10 $).

I talked with Sennheiser (our UK distributor). They told me that anybody having trouble finding replacement SL control signal records within the UK should contact Sennheiser directly.
