Is there a uppdate for centrino laptops or is it a compatebility issue?. Whenever I load a song an error message comes up on the screen says "Send error report" and after which the S.S.L. closes down. The sound is very distorded but it works fine on my desk-top pentium 4.

Have you tried the Power Supply option with your Centrino Laptop?
radish 11:53 PM - 11 August, 2004
There's no specific problem with Centrino machines in general, I run it just fine on one and I'm sure many others do. It sounds like you have a problem with your machine, try the following:

Make sure you are up to date in Windows Update
Install the latest drivers for your USB and video (available from the manufacturer)

you don't happen to try and load the same song every time do you... anything which seems to cause the crash when you use it?

In you original post you mention the sound is distorted, is this on your laptop? does that mean you can actually get it working for some period of time? What sort of distortion is it?
firestarter 2:26 AM - 18 August, 2004
the needles i tried is on the desk top it have not work with the laptop
firestarter 2:42 AM - 18 August, 2004
First i tought it was the needles so i tried some new ones ortofon electro and got the same result. I i got a pair of numark cdx and once more the same distorted sound came from the program.however, it works fine on the left side then after i load a few songs it just crash . first shure m44-7 then ortofon's after the cdx. i did try all the update's same result but i notice the distorted sound from my desk top as well with all the needles like some songs paly in reverse and robotic

_some_ songs? are your turntables line or phono level? I'm assuming you've carefully followed the manual section on setting up your system...

Firestarter, it sounds like you have not got your system connected correctly:
1. Turntables must be grounded
2. make sure phono/line setting is set correctly on setup screen.
3. Check the scopes on the setup screen, you should see circles.
namron 10:33 PM - 18 August, 2004
@ serato guys

could it be that with using the numark ttx tts this problem comes with cause they don't need the grounding and have an extra option to choose between line / phono.
on friday i had a spinning night in a club with using this tts and i had a problem after spinning 1.5 hours.. the songs sounds distorted and ssl didn't react correctly while moving the control vinyl. After releasing the vinyl with the next song loaded the beatmatching display in the center first moved very very fast and then after 2 seconds it goes with "normal" speed...
that was very strange so after the transition i only used the internal mode for safe..

namron did those TT's have "pitch correction" turned on? That would screw with the control signal alot, and probably give the results you describe...
namron 12:51 AM - 19 August, 2004
omg i forgot that they have this function.. don't know if it was on or off.. damnit

thx for answer
