did u choose phono at the setup screen?

or look what number of colors on your notebook is set.. if it is to p few u cannot see the circles

Thank you so much for responding so quickly - The colours are definately the cause of the problem.

Having the solution is great, however I can't help buty think that it should not be a problem even at the lowest possible colour selection.

Zac what model of laptop are you using? It sounds like you don't have enough video ram to handle the extra buffering when set to thousands of colours.

Hmm, those have 64mb video cards, which should be enough. Are you running _any_ other software at the same time? We obviously can't have absolute control over system resources, that's the OS's job.
