Product: itch
Version: 1.7.1
Hardware: numark-v7
Computer: mac
OS Version: 10.6.4

Its a marketing push that Serato and Numark combined their skills to develop the V7 controller.
To define the problem, I'll start this with a quote right from the V7's manual
"REMOTE – If you are using a "fader start"-compatible mixer, you can start and cue music automatically on the V7 by moving the mixer's crossfader towards it. To use fader start, connect the V7's REMOTE output to your fader start- compatible mixer with standard 1/8" cables."
Heres the thing; it doest work. And to stop any basic assumptions from coming, YES I am using a fader start capable mixer (Pioneer DJM 700).
If I hear an excuse like "Itch doesn't support this function" I'll refer you back to the first thing I said. This would bring me to ask why you would co-design a product that you cant even use to it's full capability? Logically there is no sense in a response like that.
Regardless, if it happens to be something else, I would really appreciate some advise on how you get this function operable.

Hey LFO,
Sorry this has taken so long to respond to. Unfortunately this is a bug with the software which is being fixed for an upcoming ITCH release. The reason there is a manual entry for this is because it is a feature of the hardware although currently a problem in software is causing this function to not work correctly.
Please let me know if you have any further questions,
Sam.

I appreciate the response. If its any consolidation, your response is still quicker than Numark...Im sure they are presently banging their heads off a brick wall trying to use their troubleshooting guide.
Thats the best answer I have gotten thus far, so I guess the big question left for me and many other V7/Itch users would be when will this release with the remote/fader start be released?
Will it be expected to be taken care of as soon as the next release?
Thanks

Hey LFO,
I couldn't give you a timeframe for this release unfortunately. We don't ever announce releases until they are announced officially. I can say though that this issue has been noted and is in the pipeline to be resolved, I just can't tell you when that will happen exactly sorry.
Apologies for the frustration in the meantime. I'll close this thread off for now, but if you run into any further issues please feel free to re-open it :)
Cheers,
Sam.

Has the issue described above been rectified in the new version of Itch?

Hi LFO,
There is no news on this fix yet sorry. It is logged with the team but has to be weighed up against all of the other features and fixes and prioritized accordingly. Unfortunately as this sits a bit lower than a lot of things I couldn't give you any kind of timeframe as to when it could be fixed.
The best thing I would say would be to wait until the next public beta and post this issue in here as the development team will be able to see it directly and let you know more. The more support it gets from other users the higher up the list it will go!
I hope you can understand :) We would love to fix everything but with limited development resources we can't always do this as quickly as possible.
Cheers,
Sam.
