any thoughts on how to make a mix cd with ssl? i have a digi 002 rack running pro tools le on a 12", 1.33 gz, 1.25g ram powerbook. running both programs works for a second, then quits. the green dot disapears on the set-up screen. is working both programs at the same time too taxing on the cpu? is it because i'm using firewire and usb at the same time? do i need to buy the power adapter to make it work?

best,
rolando

ps. a record feature would be great on a future ssl release.

When you say quits, do you mean _both_ applications quit?

I wouldn't expect 2 such highly demanding applications as Scratch LIVE and Pro Tools to be comfortable running together on an laptop for long... Try finding a recording application which just does a stereo recording and not alot else perhaps...

Being able to record a set with the current hardware only would be impossible since all the current inputs would be in use under standard conditions.

I recommend Cool Edit Pro or which is now Adobe Audition. Use the mult-tracker and use SSL. Works for me.
