Seriously if any of you LA cats can Make Nightlife this sat...Do it. Nightlife is $10 at the Knitting Factory. It is one thing I look forward to every month. All the WFBJ's on the wheels playing good music. The Vibe is chill, no BS. It is more of a lounge than a club. It is going to be a Jay Dee celebration all night. Ladies are in free all night. Hit me on the PM if you plan on attending. I wouldnt mind putting some faces to names.

Last year... The BJ's had a donation Box for Dilla's Madical bills at Nightlife. 6 months Prior to his passing, Dilla had to start selling a majority of his record collection to pay for his med bills. His Mom was at the Nightlife's Chilling Honoring her son. It was such a good vibe to be able to give back to Dilla and his Mother.

Nightlife on sat night.... The J Dilla edition. Le tme tell you Dilla Lives. I can not even explain the vibe that was going on in the knitting factory that night! I do not know another hip hop artist that you can have a 6 hr club and play nothing but his music. After a few hours I was thinking I would not know some of the tracks they would play later...Wrong! Dilla was behind so many hip hop classics. Much respect to the beat junkies... They had the J Dilla foundation donation box going around all night. The had Dilla's Brother and mother in house as well. They Brought his mom up on stage and honored her....Madlib, oh no, and MED all performed.... Madlib doing "The Red" live... amazing. it's monday morning and I am still amped. It's nights like those that make me happy to be a part of hip hop.

I do not know another hip hop artist that you can have a 6 hr club and play nothing but his music

Awesome.

not to diss dilla, but, you can easily play 6 hours of Wu,nas or jay-z

Oh for sure you could. ... But it wouldnt be the same. With Dilla's production... and all the different artists he worked with, there is wide veriety of dope music.
