Hmmm, what effect were you using? If it was the LPF or HPF I have the feeling that it may be broken in the 1.5 since it makes sense for the superfilter to control the LPF

a-ha!
that 2.0.2 brings no luck IMHO
try to revert to 1.6.4 here www.numark.com and see if it happens again

ps check your firmware version by opening the NUMARK NS7 USB AUDIO PANEl in your applications folder

@ cerla: why do you think that the drivers are the issue here? Whats wrong with the 2.0.2 version?

what's wrong with 2.0.2 you ask? a lot.
it made my first NS7 crash in over one year of intense use, as I reported.
the problem turned out to be an incompatibility with AAC files under 2.0.2, never aknowledged by Serato or Numark.
Not a stable driver, AFAIK, and breakermixer is confirming this (so far).

check if your driver version is 2.0.2; if it's the case, install the old 1.6.4 driver (link above) and see if the problem persists.

I got version 2.0.2 installed. But for now I'm gonna leave it that way because I'm busy testing the V7's.

hi breaker
good news (or bad news :)
I had the same problem on my shiny new V7s, using the HPF. Left channel disappeared; I had to switch the FX off to make it reappear; changing FX, then reloading the HPF-->channel disappears again.
Bottom line: It's a FX software bug, your NSFX is just fine.

mmmm.... Very loud pops are not uncommon when dealing with cutoff frequency of a HPF; and actually a loud pop is heard before the channel drop.
I think this pop may be the cause, and not the effect, of the channel drop (something like a digital counterpart of an amplifier protection). Brickwall limiter anyone?

Have you started a help thread? This is the general discussion area, not a help area, so we've been helping users in the help area about issues like this.

If you're happy to discuss this amongst yourselves then cool. I was just pointing out that the General Discussion area isn't the best place to post.

you guys do realize if everyone with the issue opens a help thread there is a chance that the collective info could lead to a faster soultion . I dont understand why people get so hostile and then want an answer
