NSFX causes left channel stop the sound.

Are you sure you haven't enabled the super filter?
I1Kirm 10:21 PM - 18 March, 2010
Hmmm, what effect were you using? If it was the LPF or HPF I have the feeling that it may be broken in the 1.5 since it makes sense for the superfilter to control the LPF
I1Kirm 11:31 PM - 18 March, 2010
Yes, but was it the one that caused the problem?
djcerla 11:34 PM - 18 March, 2010
uh... never happened but... are you on 2.0.2 firmware?
djcerla 12:45 AM - 19 March, 2010
a-ha!

that 2.0.2 brings no luck IMHO

try to revert to 1.6.4 here www.numark.com and see if it happens again
djcerla 12:46 AM - 19 March, 2010
ps check your firmware version by opening the NUMARK NS7 USB AUDIO PANEl in your applications folder
djcerla 3:22 PM - 28 March, 2010
any news? is it working fine now?
Kmxorbit 10:34 PM - 28 March, 2010
@ cerla: why do you think that the drivers are the issue here? Whats wrong with the 2.0.2 version?
djcerla 10:39 PM - 28 March, 2010
what's wrong with 2.0.2 you ask? a lot.

it made my first NS7 crash in over one year of intense use, as I reported.

the problem turned out to be an incompatibility with AAC files under 2.0.2, never aknowledged by Serato or Numark.

Not a stable driver, AFAIK, and breakermixer is confirming this (so far).

BTW read "driver", not "firmware".

i got a sound problem too!
when i play for 2 hours with the ns7.
on the right deck when nsfx is on,only one channel is comming.
i make nsfx off and on then the problem is solved..
Kmxorbit 6:58 AM - 29 March, 2010
Marvelles, I can confirm that problem. I have it too once and a while.
djcerla 9:16 AM - 29 March, 2010
Did you guys had this problem even BEFORE installing 1.5 final release?
marvelles 9:30 AM - 29 March, 2010
i only use 1.5 with the nsfx....the 1.5 betas has the same problem.
djcerla 9:57 AM - 29 March, 2010
check if your driver version is 2.0.2; if it's the case, install the old 1.6.4 driver (link above) and see if the problem persists.
Kmxorbit 11:39 AM - 29 March, 2010
I got version 2.0.2 installed. But for now I'm gonna leave it that way because I'm busy testing the V7's.
djcerla 2:00 PM - 27 May, 2010
hi breaker

good news (or bad news :)

I had the same problem on my shiny new V7s, using the HPF. Left channel disappeared; I had to switch the FX off to make it reappear; changing FX, then reloading the HPF-->channel disappears again.

Bottom line: It's a FX software bug, your NSFX is just fine.
djcerla 12:27 AM - 31 May, 2010
mmmm.... Very loud pops are not uncommon when dealing with cutoff frequency of a HPF; and actually a loud pop is heard before the channel drop.

I think this pop may be the cause, and not the effect, of the channel drop (something like a digital counterpart of an amplifier protection). Brickwall limiter anyone?

Can we get a f*@#ing update here serato? it's been months with this problem!!

Have you started a help thread? This is the general discussion area, not a help area, so we've been helping users in the help area about issues like this.
djcerla 8:57 AM - 21 June, 2010
Agreed. It's a bug so general discussion is just fine.

If you're happy to discuss this amongst yourselves then cool. I was just pointing out that the General Discussion area isn't the best place to post.
:D

you guys do realize if everyone with the issue opens a help thread there is a chance that the collective info could lead to a faster soultion . I dont understand why people get so hostile and then want an answer
