Hi Ray,

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear about your Serato library not converting properly.

I would like you to try resetting the library files to resolve this issue. To do this, please follow the steps below for your operating system:

macOS:
Close all Serato programs (Serato DJ Pro, Serato Studio etc.)
Open Finder and navigate to “~/Library/Application Support/Serato” (Copy and paste this without the quotation marks into the “Go” menu, which you can open with CMD + Shift + G)
Locate the folder named “Library”
Rename this folder to “LibraryOLD”
Open Serato DJ Pro 4.0.0, wait a few minutes, and see whether this issue persists.

Windows:
Close all Serato programs (Serato DJ Pro, Serato Studio etc.)
Open File Explorer and navigate to: "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Serato\" (Copy and paste this in to File and replace <user name> with your Windows username)
Locate the folder named "Library"
Rename this folder to "LibraryOLD"
Open Serato DJ Pro 4.0.0, wait a few minutes, and see whether this issue persists.

Hello everyone, I performed the procedure and the crates and subcrates reappeared... but they're empty! I no longer have any files inside the crates, subcrates, or smartcrates. In the "All" folder, I still have my entire music library, but I no longer have any music inside the crates. The crates are all completely empty.

Open Serato DJ.
Create a new crate called “Library”.
Highlight the entire contents of “All” and copy these over to the “Library” crate.
Close all Serato applications.
Navigate to your “Music” folder and locate the _Serato_ folder.
Rename the _Serato_ folder to _SeratoOLD_ (don’t worry about the backup folder).
Open Serato DJ.

This will create a new _Serato_ folder in your “Music” folder and generate a blank template with no crates or any other stored information.

Close Serato DJ.
Navigate to the _SeratoOLD_ folder and open the Subcrates folder.
Copy the contents of the Subcrates folder and paste them into the Subcrates folder in the new _Serato_ folder.
Open Serato DJ.

Thanks for sharing this, really helpful. I followed the library reset steps and that fixed the missing library issue for me. For anyone who ends up with empty crates afterward, restoring the Subcrates from the old Serato folder (as mentioned above) brought everything back properly. Appreciate everyone taking the time to post their fixes — saved me a lot of trial and error.

First of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to help me. I followed all the steps you advised. But it's still not working; my crates, subcrates, and smartcrates remain empty. There's no music in them. I tried deleting Serato 4.0.2 and reinstalling version 3.3.5. Everything went back to normal! It's definitely the latest version of Serato that won't work. I have a MacBook Air M2.
