Heyyy, back several iterations ago I could highlight a set I played in Serato and drag it into a playlist in Itunes (without duplicating mp3s. Somehow they had the library mapping a cool for that). Then a few years back I went to do that and it imported all the mp3s/messed up the mapping on those tracks. I accidentally ended up permanently deleting dozens of tracks trying to get rid of 'duplicates'.

Does anyone know if this can be done safely again? I still conduct my librarianship of mp3s in Apple music and do not want to attempt to make a major switch rn. Thank youuuuu.

(Ps. please for the love of god do not use this post to tell me to change how I organize my music).
