I really appreciate Library update of Serato 4.0, but I discover a serious issue with Pioneer DDJ FLX10.
I can't use FX PART SELECT any more and I was forced to turn back to 3.3.5 because of substantial sound level variation and level meters going off on channel (FX) selected.
By default VOCAL, DRUMS and INST are ON.
VOCAL switch ON/OFF : Nothing happen, it's OK
DRUMS switch from ON to OFF : Channel's level go up (+9db), but channel's level meter go down (-9db)
DRUMS switch from OFF to ON : Channel's level go down (-9db), but channel's level meter go up (+9db)
INST OFF : level meters going off if DRUMS is OFF, nothing happen if DRUMS is ON
INST ON : level meters going on if DRUMS is OFF, nothing happen if DRUMS is ON
Finally, 4.0 Master level seems to be lower than 3.3.*.
FLX10 users do you get the same issue ?

individual FX has their own seperate vol controls, have you adjusted this?

If you are talking about STEM EQ, it's OFF, no adjustement, every EQs are on position 0 (12 o'clock).
I'm realizing i didn't test STEM EQ before to turn back to 3.3.5.

No problem DjSyndic8, I already submitted a request to support.
I looked at pioneerdj website for driver update, just in case, but nothing...

Hi.
I was able to reproduce the issue. Essentially, what happens is that when we select Vocals from the FX PART SELECT, the VU meters display the vocal level. When, for example, we disable all three (vocals, drums, inst), then we have no indication on the VU meters.

However, good news no issue with STEM EQ.
Another thing, on 4.0 the sampler's level is globally 25% lower than the previous versions...
Emoji search doesn't work and others few minor bugs...
I definitly can't use the 4.0 due to this FX PART SELECT issue and FLX10 sound sounds less good to me, it's more punchy and clear on previous versions.
Hopefully serato will provide us a fix asap...

Hey H2H, may I ask you a question? Did you notice on FLX10 that the sampler CUE button is always on and not turning off on 4.0?

I've noticed the sampler volume issue too. If you open the sampler window in Serato, you can increase the volume on the right side of the software. That should solve the problem.

Yes I confirm, it's always ON.
Not really, by default I always adjusted the serato sampler's level at the maximum.
It's not unusable, I just need to push sampler's level a quater turn more on the controller, but 25% Iess is a pretty notable difference.
Because of FLX10 architecture I think that it's related to FX PART SELECT issue.

Same here, I can confirm this issue with Serato DJ Pro 4.0 + DDJ-FLX10.
As soon as I start using FX PART SELECT (VOCAL / DRUMS / INST ring):
• The audio signal starts to distort a lot.
• The part selection doesn’t really work properly anymore, neither with the filters nor with the Beat FX.
• The channel VU meter for that deck basically goes dead / stops reacting, while the master VU meter keeps showing signal and audio is still coming out.
If I avoid FX PART SELECT, audio is fine.
I also have the feeling that in 4.0 the overall sound of the FLX10 is less punchy and clear than on previous versions. At first I thought it was just my impression, but reading your comments about level differences and sound quality, it matches what I’m hearing too.
Because of this I’ve rolled back to Serato DJ Pro 3.3.5, and with the same controller and the same tracks everything works normally again:
FX Part Select behaves as expected, meters work correctly and the sound feels tighter and more open.
My setup:
• Serato DJ Pro 4.0.x
• Serato DJ Pro 3.3.5 (working fine)
• Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 (latest firmware)
• MacBook Pro 16-inch (2021), Apple M1 Max, 64 GB RAM
• macOS Sequoia 15.6.1
Hopefully this helps reproduce and fix the issue.

Good evening everyone.
I just received an email from the support team advising me to download the hotfix for the FLX-10.
The link directed me to the Serato installer, and at first I thought something might have been wrong with the file they sent.
After installing it, I confirmed that the new version is indeed 4002703 (the previous one was 4002697) and it looks like the FX Part Select issue has been fixed!
I will update you further after more extensive testing.

To the Serato developers, the Active Part and Page Effects are completely messed up. It still cuts the echo out on the Page buttons and instant mute vocal on Active Part. Then when you echo out the vocal using the PAGE button while you are in a mix, it throws off the beat and put the mix out of sync. The PAGE effects button's function on deck 1 and 2 are also back to front. What the riight side button does on deck two is in the reverse on deck one.

Confirmed 100 %.
Had the same issue and was in contact with the support team. The latest build fixes the issue but the level meters go "silent" when using FX Parts Select. But the issue with the sound was waaay worse and made the feature unusable. Now I'm happy with how it is.

Bonjour a tous,

- SERATO DJ PRO (Version 4.0.0)

Unfortunately, no luck even with version 4.0.1.
When FX Part Select is enabled, the distortion issue is fixed, but the VU meters won’t display anything if all three stem parts are pressed.
I think this is related to build 2703 with the added SLAB support by AlphaTheta.
Patience, my friends…
Hopefully in the next update more issues will be addressed.

The Active Part Effects and PAGE buttons are worse now. The left side of the FLX10 page buttons both light up when selecting vocal and the right side, when attempting the same does something completely different.
