I am a NEWBIE strictly vinyl DJ just starting to gig out and LOVING IT.

I'm currently just crossfading between songs with a simple two channel Pioneer DJ mixer.

I can already feel myself being pulled toward incorporating sampling and looping into my sets for a more creative artsy personal touch.

Whenever I start digging around online for where to start, I get totally overwhelmed and intimidated. I just need to be pointed in the right direction: I just simply want to sample and loop (+FX) live in real time during my vinyl sets.

Where do I start? Do I need a laptop loaded with Serato? Can I just use a controller (like a Roland 404 etc)?

Can someone recommend a SIMPLE and EASY hardware and/or software setup to start learning how to do this? It's important that the songs in the set stay as analog vinyl as possible....
