Denon DN-HC1000S & Offline Player: Implement "crippled MIDI mode"

How about implementing a "crippled" mode for the DN-HC1000S in the offline player?
Very useful for preparing tracks whenever sitting at a desk, traveling by train/plane etc, or any other situation disconnected from from the mixer/SL box.
Include some of these functions:
- Use the controller for browsing files, history and prepare.
- Load track to offline deck
- Lift track to prepare area
- Set Cues & Loops.
- Basic transport controls, ie fast forward/rewind, next/previous track.
Exclude these functions:
- no pitch bend
- none of the custom mappings available while offline.
I believe this would make the DN-HC1000S even more useful, while still impossible to actually mix "ghetto-style" (two unlicensed computers) due to lack of pitch/pitch-bend.
(On a side note, I know would be possible implement. In one of the first MIDI versions SSL, I was able to use my Akai MPD in offline mode, although I believe that was a slip up...)
So, anyone feeling this?

Well 99.9% of the users can't get it to work correctly with the full (online) v2.0 and above.
GUI lock-ups and freezes galore!

This has been reported loads in every beta and final since 2.0.0 first began it mostly happens when using auto loop on the denon. This bug effects every1 serato just think it's a low priority bug as u just have to unplug it and plug it back in again to get it working. It's shocking tobe honest

Not sure if this will be fixed in the near future too as they did say they were making progress in June/July but now nothing.
So yeah... this would be good in offline so +1 for that but +100000 for a fix to the lock-ups first.
Oh, and i just realised from your profile that your not far down the road from me LJ_Woolsey!

I'm glad MacMillz is bumping my suggestion!
Personally my HC1000 have been working well with my mac on all versions: 1.9.2, 2.0 & 2.1 (including most betas). I understand that there's been bad connectivity under windows.
Still in 2.1, I sometimes need to reconnect it a few times before it kicks in, also starting SSL with my SL1 card connected is a no go for the Denon. Also for everyone having trouble, if you're not using a USB cable with a ferrite bead, make sure you have one.
Lets keep the thread on track (lots of other help threads on these connectivity issues).
It would would be nice to use the Denon the way I described in the first post. As there is quite a few other issues with the SSL 2 versions, I don't expect it to happen overnight ;) But I'm a patient one, and happy to wait for it :D
Stability for SSL is the number one priority!
