Sequencer issues

I have installed the latest 'beta' version of Serato Studio last week and the sequencer does not work correctly. I use a lot the Avenger v2.0 synthesizer (VST 2 32-bit/64-bit) and with this version when I record the sequences it does NOT record the notes I have played, when I stop 'record' and play the track everything is fine until size 4 but it cuts from 5 to 8 randomly and sporadically, it is impossible to create a single track, also I've noticed the same with Synapse Dune 3. I am using Bitwig 5 now as Serato is no longer 'strong' in the sequencer. Hopefully it will work again accurate as in previous versions from 2022-2023.

Hi Axl Andrich

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Can I just confirm was Avenger 2.0 working fine in the previous version of Serato Studio? Which version of Serato Studio are you using where you are experiencing the crash?

Are you able to generate a report zip and attach it to this thread please?

Cheers
Saia

It's not a crash. Basically Serato doesn't trigger the first note in the scene fast enough for the VST synth sound to start, so the note is truncated. If you play the note a few milliseconds later, then it does pick it up and put it into the note grid. However many times the sequencer captures the note correctly but when it finishes the size 8 when it starts again it doesn't play it anymore. It is a very unpredictable behavior that has never happened before, at least in the last 3 years that I have been using Serato Studio. Thanks for looking into, Saia!

Hi Axl, I've also reported this on the Serato Studio Beta forum, it happens the same cut-off initial notes, I'm running Beta

Hi Saia,

I have installed version 2.2.0 and it no longer has this behavior, the first notes are read in time. I don't know if they made any adjustments but it is working fine, greetings!

If your sequencer is not syncing properly with other devices or tracks, it could lead to timing issues and tracks being out of sync. Ensure that all devices are set to the same tempo and that any sync settings (such as MIDI clock) are correctly configured.

Thank you but the reported problem was different. Sequencing the Avenger VPS 2.0 synthesizer did not 'catch' the first note when sequencing and it was 'lost'. I'm not sure what Dev adjusted but now it worked with the latest update, thanks for your help anyway! ♥
