Stems support for more hardware?

Firstly, stems is awesome! I’ve been really excited to use the new feature and it works really well!

I was wondering if there are plans to bring stem sampler pad support to more older controllers? I have a numark mixtrack platinum (not fx) which has sample pads and a pad mode button. However there doesn’t appear to be support at the moment.

What is it that limits the ability for some sample pad controllers to not be usable for stems control?

Thanks!

I noticed the Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 is supported for stems, which was released in June 2015.

I own the Numark Mixtrack Platinum, released in July 2016. It has nearly the exact same features and controls (plus more) in comparison to the Mixtrack Pro 3. It is also an official Serato Lite controller.

I can't see why this controller shouldn't be able to be used for the new stems feature.

RTFM…

Just map your sampler (or any other pad-)layer for stems.

The stems feature is not related to specific hardware.
Some devices are pre mapped, some are not.

Every pro, lite or third party midi controller can be mapped with the 8 stem features per deck.

If you are using lite only, my bad.

No problem. I really find it strange how they have selected which controllers to support in Lite. Supporting an older, basic controller and skipping the near identical newer one seems really odd, especially as they are so similar.

I'd happily do midi mapping if Lite had the ability. It's a shame they don't just let users do this to open up the support for the product by the community.
