Streaming/Downloadable Beats (only)

Hi Everybody,

This might sound like kind of an odd question, but I'm starting out learning how to use Serato Lite with my laptop. Where I'm located, I need to rely on streaming for sourcing but I don't want a massive library of music genres I know nothing about. I'm happy to learn and get into that, but right now all I want right is beats.

I want to learn to focus on and crossfade beats, nothing more.

I have a Beatport subscription, is there a genre that is predominantly beat-driven or isolated? or is there an online source to download or stream just beats and loops that I might work with?

Trying to get syncing and mixing mechanics/shortcuts to work with all these other instrumental layers and overtones is, like, too much for my ears to focus on starting out.

All I want is the drum and variations of decent beats to mix. If anybody can help direct me to 'the beat' I'd be super stoked.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Hello,
If you're looking for a source of beats to practice mixing, you may want to consider checking out websites that specialize in selling or providing DJ-specific music. Some examples of these sites include:

Beatport - As you mentioned, Beatport is a great resource for electronic dance music (EDM) and often has genres that are beat-driven, such as techno, house, and trance. You can filter your searches by genre and BPM (beats per minute) to find tracks that fit your needs.

Bandcamp - Bandcamp is a platform that allows independent artists to sell their music directly to fans. You can often find beat-driven music in genres like hip-hop, trap, and drum and bass. Use the search bar to find tracks or artists that fit your needs.

Loopmasters - Loopmasters is a website that sells sample packs and loops, many of which are geared towards DJs and producers. You can search by genre or instrument to find beats and other sounds that you can use to practice mixing.

SoundCloud - SoundCloud is a platform where artists can upload and share their music. You can search by genre or artist to find tracks that are beat-driven. Many DJs also upload mixes to SoundCloud, which can be a great resource for practicing beatmatching and mixing. www.c4yourself.ltd

Remember to always make sure you have the proper licensing and permission to use any music you download or stream for DJ purposes.
