Same audio in headphones and speakers

Wrocky 10:10 AM - 7 April, 2022
Good day,

I bought a 14" macbook pro with macOS Monterey (12.3.1) and wanted to start playing on my Roland DJ-202 (via Serato DJ Lite), which I had previously used with macbook air 2019 (also Serato DJ Lite).
Unfortunately, the headphones behave exactly like the cinch output to the speakers. If I have a track playing and I have the mixer faders set to "zero", there is no sound in the speakers and headphones. As soon as I start to increase the volume with the mixer fader, even if my monitoring to the headphones is switched off, I can hear the sound - just like in the speakers. The button for switching on the monitoring only "intensifies" the audio in the headphones.
I have the latest firmware for Roland DJ-202 (ver 1.12), the latest Roland DJ-202 drivers for my macOS (ver 1.0.5) and the latest version of Serato DJ Lite (ver 1.5.10).
I really don't know where the error might be - I tried to reinstall, restart, reset the controller to the factory settings, even tried different headphones...

Thank you very much for advice in advance!

Tom

Turn your "mixing" knob in the cue section (middle) complete to the left side on "cue".

The main reason is that headphones are made to isolate the listener from external sounds and block out noise. Having the same audio playing in both headphones and speakers would mean that you wouldn't be able to hear the other person on the phone while they can hear everything going on around you. I have asked a writer from www.bestessays.com.au to write a detailed thread on it. It might work if both parties were wearing earbuds, but then you'd have to deal with wires and an extra device is plugged into your phone.
