Unable to enter Beat Slicer on DDJ-SB3

I'm unable to enter Beat Slicer mode using the SHIFT + PAD SCRATCH button combo on my controller.

I'm pretty new to this hardware and program. Checked the Help archive and scoured Youtube.

I'm using Serato Lite + DDJ-SB3.

I assume some sort of mode is turned on preventing me from using the shift functions?

Any help would be appreciated.
