Anyone able to get it running in Linux?

I moved to Linux late last year, and Serato Sample is the one thing I really miss. Has anyone here had any luck getting it to run under Wine with tweaks?

Update: still can't get 1.3 to run. If anyone has any success with this, please let me know ASAP, because this is the single thing I miss the most.

Serato DJ is not available for Linux but there are some alternatives that runs on Linux with similar functionality. The best Linux alternative is Mixxx, which is both free and Open Source. www.telltims.net

It seems to be too complex for Wine to handle.

While I don't have access to real-time information, as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Serato Sample was not officially supported on Linux. Wine, a compatibility layer that allows running Windows applications on Linux, can be a viable option for some software, but compatibility can vary depending on the specific application and version of Wine.

If you haven't already, you could check the Wine Application Database (AppDB) to see if there are any reports or tips regarding running Serato Sample specifically. The AppDB provides user-contributed information on the compatibility and potential workarounds for various applications with Wine.

Additionally, you might consider looking for alternative www.skywardalpine.net software options that are natively supported on Linux. There are several powerful sampling and music production tools available for Linux, such as Ardour, Bitwig Studio, Tracktion T7, and Renoise, among others. Exploring these alternatives might help you find a solution that meets your needs without relying on Wine.

It's worth mentioning that software compatibility can change over time, so it's possible that there have been updates or developments since my knowledge cutoff. Therefore, I recommend conducting a fresh search or reaching out to the Linux and Serato Sample communities to see if there have been any recent advancements in running Serato Sample on Linux.
