DDJ-1000SRT: allow jog screen MIDI mapping

Hi Serato,

I would like to map the DDJ-1000SRT jog screens in MIDI mode, just like I have mapped the regular DDJ-1000.
However I cant do this, as per Serato's request.

As such I request: could you please allow Pioneer to implement this feature?

For clarity: I understand this a pure bussiness decision by part of the Serato Company.
All development work would be done by Pioneer, no Serato.

Affected softwares are DJay, Traktor, Mixxx, and all other ones that depend on MIDI mapping.

Serato please release the update so that they can be displayed in the same way as the pioneer XDJ-XZ

I believe Serato has nothing to do with the way the midi mapping is on DDJ-1000SRT. This is a internal coding that only Pioneer can get into.

Not quite, pioneer made it clear in their forums that it is a serato issue, I personally think it is half firmware and the other half serato.

This is NOT a technical problem.

I've opened support ticket #147606 with Pioneer, and got the reply that this was a pure bussiness decision by part of the Serato Company.

Then I opened support ticket #623547 with Serato. There they told me to request this in this forum (this thread)

Hi Serato
On behalf of most ddj 1000 srt owners, I would kindly ask for you to please allow the display of track waveform on the jog wheel displays. This would make us users very happy and show that you understand that such a feature would compliment this great DJ controller. It will also allow the DJs to focus less on the computer display. Displaying cue points and maybe album art would be a bonus however we are willing to accept just the waveform.

It has been a year since the original post. I'm surprised Serato has at least acknowledged the request. What's going on? Serato is usually responsive.

Can you help me to find a way mapping Serato to sort directly from Pioneer `DDJ SZ, ''artist'' and ''bpm'' column ? Right now is possible only fom laptop
I ask for help for almost 3 years and no one can help me. I have a solution from one user but is not working. He send me a script to insert in XML midi folder from Serato but like i said is not working, perhaps i'm doing something wrong......
This is what i receive :

Is there finally a reaction from Serato or Pioneer on this question?

It's not a problem with the XDJ-XZ! Do I really have to switch to Rekordbox and the DDJ1000 without SRT ???

allow ALL THE MIDI MAPPING. I'm trying to remap the Jog Mode (Vinyl On/Off) button and can't do it.

Forget the 1000SRT with waveform. Go with the XZ and never look back as i didi. I remapped many buttons to be more "serato" friendly and have all the best of both world AND a much better quality built wise than the 1000. The only thing i miss of the 1000 in the nobulus (or whatever) sound effect lolll
