update 1.3 major issue
Mecboy21

I just updated to version 1.3 and now the metronome doesn't work, I restarted the program multiple times and changed my audio devices and nothing. Sounds all work but not having a metronome makes the program unusable to me. I already paid a full year because I love this product.

Hi Mecboy21,
Thanks for your note - this doesn't sound great and shouldn't be happening like that, are you still experiencing this issue?
If so the best way to get to the bottom of this is to Open a Help Request (the green button just to the right of this text field.
Let me know if you don't get a fast response from support and I'll bump your ticket.

Hi Mecboy21 and Score,
1. Can you confirm that if you just open Studio and immediately press play on the empty scene player, you get no metronome sound?
2. Then Could you please go to "Generate Report" under help and post the resulting zip file here?
That will help us figure out why you are having this problem. We have not encountered it in any use or testing here.
Thanks! cheers, John

I was coming to the blog to see if there was information on this as, since the 1.3 upgrade, my metronome doesn't work either. Paid subscriber as well here. Perhaps these results help with an answer...

Thanks to all 3 of you, and especially for that log snippet. We think we may have the problem tracked down but need ideally all three of you to confirm whether this matches your scenario please:
"If you install 1.3 while studio 1.2 is still running you will get a message to restart your machine once the installer is done. After the restart your Serato Studio\audio is empty and you have no sounds for the metronome. If Studio is not running when you run the installer then everything seems to work fine. Running the installer again (without Studio running) and choosing Repair fixes the problem for me."
Can you please confirm whether this matches what you did and saw and if not tell us how your experience differed from that?

I reinstalled with Serato Studio not running and restarted my computer after the installation. The metronome works fine for me now. Thank You!

By the way this is fixed in the 1.3.1 beta release which is out now, for any of you on the beta program (or licenced users who wish to join it).

Hey John, how do we sign up for the beta program? I'm definitely interested.

Go to the Support menu on serato.com then choose the Account option and you'll see it the 2nd section on the page is called "Serato Product Betas" and Studio is the only option there - you just flick the switch and (from memory) accept some terms and conditions then there is a link to download the beta and from then on you should get in app notifications for new beta releases as well as the normal final releases of each version.
