Supported mixers for Serato Dj

Does Serato Dj only works with supported hardware as far as mixers , or can you use any 2 channel or 4 channel mixer as long as it has a sound card.

only the mixers and soundcards listed here will work:

serato.com

Some require a paid upgrade in the form of the Club Kit License.

If you want to use a mixer not on that list, you need one of the interfaces/sound cards listed.

Wow so I'm limited to purchase $800 to $1200 mixers only because I use Serato ?

Akai AMX is $350 with the DVS plugin.

Or you can buy a Rane SL soundcard or Denon DS-1 Soundcard to use with your existing mixer.

So what ever mixer I choose, it must have a sound card. 2nd question, can I use the dj tech dif- 1s mixer

You can but you will still need a RANE SL box or a Denon DS1 which as Serato Certified Interfaces.

I have a Rane SL 2 that came with my Serato Dj. I hope that will work. Thanks for the info

If you have an SL2 you can use any dj mixer you want.

As long as you use the SL2 the Soundcard in the mixer won't matter. Basically whether your mixer has a built in Soundcard or not it's the Mixer functionality that will work with it. If your Mixer has midi functionality, the midi mappable controls on it can be mapped. Like I use a Z2 but the soundcard on it won't work with Serato so I use a SL3 to cover that and it is mapped to other functions.

Wow this helps a lot because I was using the Stanton M203 and wasn't getting no response from the mixer, and was told that no mater if I had a Rane SL2, that particular mixer wasn't going to work, so I'm looking to upgrade to the Dj Tech dif-2s mixer that I was told would work. So I don't want to continue to get confused, so I will stick with the dif-2s. Thank You !

Something is not right. I had the Stanton M203 with an SL1 and it worked fine. SL2 works the same.

As long as your mixer has RCA inputs, it'll work

I mean, If he did say that can't really blame him. I didn't even know Gemini was still making mixers.
