Problem with Mixars Duo driver and Windows 7

User 13 7:29 AM - 28 June, 2016
Hello DJs !

I have a problem with my Mixars Duo and my Windows 7.

I downloaded the latest driver from Mixars website and I installed it.
In fact, the driver is not signed (numeric) by Microsoft, so, it doesn't work.

I found a solution, I restart my Windows 7 with F8 (Disable drivers signed by Microsoft).
In this case, the driver works fine, no problem with Serato.
But If I don't press F8 during the boot, the driver doesn't work.

Someone is in the same situation?
Do you have an idea?
I sent an email to Mixars support to know but no answer since 2 days.

Thank you for your help.

Odd... I have a mxar Duo and a Windows 7 laptop and haven't experienced this issue. I've been using it daily for the past 4 days and have had perfect connection after booting my computer up and starting DJ up.

Is the processor an AMD?

Did you guys ever get a solve for this issue? I just got a Duo and am having the same problem. It connects to Serato DJ for a moment then goes into an error message.

I am on a Mbpro i5 but am hoping your solve could help mine.

Sierra ?
Firmware 1,14?

Yessir. Sorry to leave out the specs. It's a rMbpro 2.4 ghz i5 with 8 of ram, running Sierra 10.12.2. It's connected to a rane 62 almost daily with no problems. I'm on serato DJ 1.9.5 and also tried 1.9.3 but no dice.

Tried different USB ports, different USB cables but it connects momentarily and just drops. So as far as what version firmware is on the duo - I can't connect long enough to know what version it shipped with. And I can't upgrade unless there's a way to do it untethered to a laptop.

So sad to just stare at this beautiful mixer and not play with it. Any advice?

Mixars Duo Firmware 1.14?
sshimosawa 5:08 PM - 20 January, 2017
Not sure if it's 1.14 because I can't get the mixer to connect to the MacBook long enough to check. That's the bummer.

Oh right on. Ok. I will see if it connects to any other computers and see if I could make that happen.

DJJ-Rol, you're a genius, dude. Huge thank you.

For anyone else having instant dropout issues/ unable to connect to a Sierra OS X -

- its a firmware issue. Mine shipped with 1.9 and 1.14 is the key. The firmware upgrade steps say to run this before upgrading to Sierra. So I used a friend's laptop with Yosemite to upgrade. Then plugged it into mine running Sierra and it worked. Love it.
