I would love to see support for the Rane MP 2014.

Given up and switched to Traktor. Using the 2.10.3 beta and it works flawlessly.

+1. Planning to get this mixer, based on the availability on Serato Support
roy rohypnol 5:21 PM - 1 August, 2016
Don't bother then. Serato aren't interested. If you're happy to switch to Traktor, then buy it. To be honest it is worth it though, the mixer is unreal!!!!!
Danny_DJ 5:39 PM - 1 August, 2016
Well, the only limit here for Serato is the commercial plausibility and they are like classic companies intransparent about how much DVS-Kit customers they need to be profitable.

So why not go the modern route and crowd-fund it?! There wouldn't be any risk for neither Serato nor the pledgers.
djkee 9:49 PM - 12 August, 2016
Yes. I've been saying this too.

I would crowd fund for:
DVS firmware update for VCI-380 (since Vestax is now dead)
HID mapping for Pioneer XDJ-700, CDJ-400 (compact player)

Look at this way also, Rane was just sold so that could have put this on hold.

The same company that owns Denon and Numark have their hardware supported.

Most likely the Rane brand will follow suite.

Just ordered the MP2014, assuming Serato will support it, at least with the Club Kit. Otherwise I still have my Traktor Scratch license and I'll switch back to it.

+1 would def buy this mixer if serato supports it. Seeing the price declined a little lately
jayneural 4:59 PM - 2 February, 2017
Telling Serato you're buying this mixer because of they support it doesn't help a lot.

They don't care if you're buying this mixer or another, they only care if you buy a Serato license or if manufacturers give them money to obtain Serato Certification.

Serato will certify a mixer on its own only if it believes it has a business benefit to do it (like hitting the Disco/House/Purists market).

MP2014 is an amazing mixer and presents form factor advantage over the MP2015. I bought it guessing Serato may never support it because of the exact reasons I just mentioned.

I just stopped using Serato and I'm actually looking to resell my full licence if possible. If Serato doesn't want to support it, then Traktor or Rekordbox are the way to go.
DJ Quartz 5:02 PM - 2 February, 2017
Being that Rane is very quiet, it seems inMusic might be dealing with trying to get everything in line.

This is most likely the hold up with getting this mixer certified.

I agree with you completely. After inMusic acquired Denon, they waited a while before doing any collaborations or releasing any new products. It's only a matter of time before Rane is back on the market.
DJ Quartz 6:36 PM - 2 February, 2017
I just hope sooner than later. I'm still anticipating a 62 refresh.
DJMIYAGI 8:31 PM - 2 February, 2017
Yeah me too. They're gonna have to do something to compete with the S9.
jayneural 9:27 PM - 24 April, 2017
I'd like Rane to bring a new 62 or 64 with dual-usb class-compliant sound card like the one found in the MP2014/2015.

Both Serato and Traktor support would make this a must-buy, though I've switched to Traktor for anything DVS since my MP2014 is only Traktor Scratch certified.
funx0rs 2:44 AM - 17 October, 2017
I'm really bummed. Just pulled the trigger on a pre-owned MP2014 only to find out it isn't certified. I should have done more research, so I guess it's on me.

It makes no sense for the 2015, which is more mixer than I need, to be supported but the 2014 isn't.
djkee 2:36 AM - 8 November, 2017
If the Denon Prime mixer got added, why isn't the MP2014 being added? Aren't Denon and Rane the same company now?

Rane and Denon are subsidiaries of InMusic. That doesn't mean that all the sister companies will roll out Serato support all at once for their hardware.
djkee 10:54 PM - 8 November, 2017
Yes. Rane is pretty new to the group, so they are still probably trying to fit all the pieces together. They eventually are one company. The Akai AMX is basically a Numark product, but branded as Akai because Akai has such a good brand affiliation for hip hop (from the MPC). I don't know that anyone would have bought the AMX if it was Numark.

Maybe we should all email the company to show interest and get the ball moving.

Support isn't going to happen with a discontinued product. Unfortunately, that's the truth.
djkee 7:52 PM - 14 November, 2017
Yes, it seems the 2014 is officially discontinued. So no support will be coming. :(

Dealers are already getting new shipments of MP2015 manufactured in Asia. But MP2014 is no longer considered a "current" model.

"As far as I can tell, the MP2014 is no longer a current model for Rane"
That is not confirmation from Rane the 2014 is discontinued. After InMusic purchased Rane, they needed time to manufacture new stock. The MP2015 and SL4 are being manufactured again, so I wouldn't give up hope yet.

funx0rs 11:23 PM - 26 February, 2018
Still praying. There has to be a way around this.. even unofficially?
jayneural 6:56 PM - 27 February, 2018
I don't believe you'll find in any sort of unofficial solution in Serato's forums.

If someones knows how to create a driver lets you choose the name of the USB device id/vendor id etc... then routes the audio and midi/output of your unsupported mixer to it, that would probably solve the issue not only for Serato but also for the other vendor lock situations in the Djing market.

Maybe we should ask the guys who make Bomes MIDI translator and/or the dev of the Midiflow suite on iOS if they can do something simple and straightforward specifically for this use case.

There is much more chance you get feedback from them than here as it's not allowed to post hacks in these forums.
