Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Pitch Play (as seen on new Denon MCX8000) for all controllers & mixers :)

After knowing I want this without even trying it yet I am hopeful Serato can come up with some way to integrate this into current controllers that utilize performance pads and midi mapping offered for those that don't. Looking at the Denon controller I see no reason why it can't be...............

I can't see why it can't be introduced to other controllers either. I tried to map something like this when Key Shift and MIDI mapping became available, but you can't. The MIDI screen doesn't let you map specific shift values, just + or - values. The weirdest result was mapping it to the Velocity sampler where it shifted to pad pressure ( fun but useless lol )

This 'Pitch Play' ability would make Pitch N Time even more alluring to DJs that don't use it yet. Just imagine if it could be linked to a FLIP!

I think as people said, it's an exclusivity deal. Think about it, how did Pioneer not get this first?

Sick feature, wrong topicname maybe.
I guess 99% of the Serato DJ users with turntables don't understand and know what we are talking about.

+1 isn't enough for me. +1.000.000 at least.
deejdave 12:44 AM - 30 March, 2016
I wouldn't know any other way to describe it being pitch play is the actual name for it and the Denon controller is the only device that supports it but I certainly did think more peeps would want this as well.
BBN 12:49 AM - 30 March, 2016
To click on the link above and check the infos about this feature would be so easy, but it feels like nobody does and the topic name plus first post don't catch attention enough.

I posted a link to this feature request in the Serato specialists group and also in my timeline, where I linked some of my friends back then, but only two of them voted in here :(

if someone could get inside how it is done on the denon controller and see how the functions are mapped we might be able to duplicate it for all devices or at least see what parameters need to be discovered in order to map them.
deejdave 11:39 PM - 14 April, 2016
Not mappable unfortunately. Even after knowing how it works it is unfortunately exclusive to this Denon controller. The Denon is not something I would want to use so I will await until I can use this feature on a device with a proper layout.

I could definitely see some people going nuts with it if it were mappable to a midi keyboard. Then DJ/Producers like Enferno would be able to start doing more inside of sera towithout the need for excessive external equipment and software

Well if you really wanted to try it out with your DDJ SP1 and VDJ I could send you a mapping ;-)

My computer has become allergic to VDJ!!! No seriously though had not used or even opened VDJ in quite a while and I literally had to re-install on two of my MacBook Pro's as it would crash upon opening. The only real difference was adding MIK Flow8Deck.

Just like my tempo changing idea, I would use this on another "pad mode" that I do not use on my NS7 II

FYI this can be mapped for all those who know how to mess with .xml file etc :)

I actually started a thread requesting any info on xml / mapping stuff here:serato.com

I have never actually messed with this but I am looking into it as I wanted to mess with the mapping of jog wheels on non supported HW as well. If anything goes as planned (which I am hopeful it will :) I will certainly post the hows and what's.

Good luck. Jog wheels are notoriously difficult to map correctly. And some just don't have the right resolution.
deejdave 4:04 PM - 20 September, 2016
Yeah I haven talk even been able to motivate myself enough. Necessity is the mother of invention and being all my best hw is already native to sdj with the exception of the nxs2's I just don't really have the need. Even with the nxs2's I'd rather just wait for the proper support.
riddla 2:46 PM - 26 September, 2016
Radikarl has a mapping for Midi Keyboards with Serato DJ 1.9.2 and up versions. Requires a Pitch'N Time DJ license. www.radikarl.de

I tested it with a maschine micro and it works like a charm, but you have to check the Midi-XML file for the controlls etc. Native support would be preferable.
M.adaM 11:30 AM - 27 November, 2016
I need this feature for my NS7 II,

Let me know if its possible
M.adaM 6:35 PM - 28 December, 2016
I could NOT get this....
Will this be available for NS7 II any time soon?

Both Denon and Numark are InMusic brands, why it can't be done (with a FW upgrade or so)?
